Medical education
Through the efforts of local physicians appointed to the University faculty,
UTCOMC provides education not only for the residents training at Erlanger, but
also for medical students and practicing physicians. UTCOMC offers continuing
medical education for physicians already in practice.
Hundreds of nursing students and other aspiring allied health professionals
train at Erlanger, as well. On any given week, you'll find an average of 185
students at Erlanger, representing 114 different clinical training programs. And
100 to 150 medical students from schools across the country participate in
clinical rotations (hands-on experience with patients) at Erlanger every
year.
