The Clinical Education Council is
responsible for promoting, planning, implementing, and evaluating professional
development activities. This council establishes standards for staff education
including orientation, annual competency assessments, and continuing education
offerings.
The Nurse Executive Council (NEC)
assures oversight and coordination of nursing practice and management across
the Erlanger Health System. This includes, but is not limited to, the assurance
of one level of consistent care, interpretation of processes, and prudent
fiduciary responsibilities.
The Nurse Practice Council (NPC) is
responsible for establishing current standards of care/practice and maintaining a
coordinated scope of practice to assure best practice.
The Patient Care Research Council (PCRC)
promotes and facilitates the integration of evidence-based practice.
It also fosters development of nursing research priorities by facilitating and advising
in the development, application, publication, and presentation of nursing
research and other scholarly activities.
The Nursing Quality Council (NQC) ensures the
appropriateness and effectiveness of nursing care while assessing compliance
with current established standards of care and
practice.
