About / Overview

Originally from Romania, Dr. Ana Cornea has called the Chattanooga area home since 2003. She was drawn to the people's kindness and the region's natural beauty. After earning her medical degree in 1995, Dr. Cornea worked as a nurse’s assistant in Missouri while learning English and preparing for the U.S. medical licensing exams. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at the VA Hospital in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, followed by a two-year Endocrinology fellowship at Oklahoma University Medical Center. She has practiced as an Endocrinologist in Chattanooga since 2003.

Dr. Cornea specializes in treating thyroid disorders, diabetes, pituitary conditions, calcium imbalances, osteoporosis, obesity, hypogonadism, menopause, and more. She welcomes former patients for follow-up visits and accepts new patients with primary care provider referrals.
