About / Overview
Cassandra Clendenen is a board-certified family nurse practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). She was raised in Ringgold, Georgia, and Athens, Tennessee, and graduated from the University of Georgia in Athens with a bachelor’s degree in exercise and sports science. After graduating, she moved to Chattanooga, where she received a second bachelor’s degree in nursing. Cassandra worked in the emergency room at Erlanger Baroness Hospital while pursuing her family nurse practitioner master’s degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
Cassandra completed her family nurse practitioner training at Erlanger Primary Care – Cleveland with Dr. Teuton and Sarah McKay, FNP-BC. During this time, she was able to familiarize herself with the practice, its patients, and the Cleveland community. Cassandra is very passionate about family medicine, and she enjoys learning about and getting to know her patients so she can offer exceptional care. She sees patients of all ages and specializes in preventative, procedural, pediatric, and women’s health services.
In addition to her work in emergency medicine, Cassandra has also received specialized training through the International Association of Forensic Nurses and she actively works as a sexual assault nurse examiner (SANE) through Chattanooga’s local crisis center.
When she’s not working, Cassandra enjoys spending time with her family, traveling to Knoxville to cheer on the Tennessee Volunteers,
