About / Overview
John A. “Jad” Dorizas is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon who treats active patients and athletes, as well as other patients who have painful sports medicine conditions or painful shoulders or knees.
Dr. Dorizas specializes in sports medicine and arthroscopic management of a broad spectrum of shoulder, knee, and other sports related injuries. He strives to integrate his faith in Christ through excellence, service, and compassion in his care for patients.
In addition to serving patients at Erlanger Orthopaedics and Erlanger Sports Medicine, Dr. Dorizas provides orthopaedic sports medicine coverage for the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, Bryan College, and Covenant College. He also serves as team physician for several local high schools. He assists in the teaching and training of resident physicians for the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Medicine - Chattanooga, and is among the staff of orthopaedic surgeons operating at Erlanger East Hospital.
Dr. Dorizas is an active member of First Presbyterian Church in Chattanooga and enjoys spending time with his family and the outdoors.
