About / Overview
Dr. Jennifer Mirza is a board-certified, fellowship-trained cardiologist with Erlanger Cardiology. As a Chattanooga native, she loves caring for the heart and cardiovascular needs of the community. Dr. Mirza was initially drawn to the medical field, and cardiology in particular, after members of her family experienced cardiac issues. She became fascinated by the heart and felt called to pursue a career in medicine. She counts herself lucky to have been able to spend her career practicing in this region.
Dr. Mirza attended the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga for her undergraduate education and completed her medical education at West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg, WV. She then completed an internal medicine residency at Norton Community Hospital in Norton, VA, and a cardiology fellowship at Deborah Heart and Lung Center in Brown Mills, NJ.
When she’s not working, Dr. Mirza enjoys nature photography and gardening, though she despises weeding. She also likes to travel and learn about different cultures and people.
