Dr. Rachel Murray is a board-certified dermatologist with Erlanger Dermatology. As a Chattanooga native, Dr. Murray attended Notre Dame High School and graduated magna cume laude from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a bachelor's degree in sociology. In addition to graduating as salutatorian from Lincoln Memorial University DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harrogate, Tennessee, she also served as class president. Dr. Murray completed her intern year of residency at Redmond Regional Medical Center in Rome, Georgia. She then completed a dermatology residency at HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital. During residency, she served as chief dermatology resident and presented at various national conferences as a member of the resident advisory board for Florida Academy of Dermatology.
Dr. Murray is passionate about dermatology because it encompasses the perfect blend of critical thinking, procedural skills, and continuity of care. She enjoys treating patients of all skin types and of all ages, from newborns to geriatrics. She provides services in skin cancer prevention, complex medical dermatology, surgical dermatology, and cosmetic dermatology. She enjoys treating a variety of skin conditions including eczema, psoriasis, acne, hidradenitis suppurativa, cutaneous oncology, hair loss, nail disorders, lupus, dermatomyositis, autoimmune blistering disorders, vitiligo, melasma, and skin care needs related to LGBTQ/SGM community. She is passionate about providing an inclusive space where patients can feel safe and seek medical care without judgment.
