About / Overview
After graduating from Beaverton High School in Oregon in 1982, Dr. Vaughan attended Washington University in St. Louis, graduating with Honors with a BA in Biology in 1985. He then attended the Washington University School of Medicine on a Naval Health Professions Scholarship, and after graduating Alpha Omega Alpha in 1989, served four years in the US Navy as a Diving and Undersea Medical Officer. After completing his military service in 1993, Dr. Vaughan completed his Diagnostic Radiology Residency at the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology in 1997, serving as Co-Chief Resident in his final year. After completing a Fellowship in Neuroradiology at the University of Washington in Seattle in 1998, Dr. Vaughan entered private practice. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology with a Certificate of Added Qualification in Neuroradiology, and is a Senior Member of the American Society of Neuroradiology. He lives with his family in Louisville, KY, where he enjoys hunting and competitive shooting, and rooting for the St. Louis Cardinals.
