A mental health counselor is now available onsite at our Andrews location for those 18 to 55 years old and can assist you regardless of your ability to pay.

EASE - Erlanger Active Senior Enrichment - is an outpatient counseling program to help adults 55 years and older manage stress in their lives. EASE provides a safe atmosphere where older adults facing life’s challenges can learn effective coping and stress-management skills.
Consider if one or more of the following apply:
- Anger
- Anxiety, Nervousness
- Depressed Mood
- Difficulty Coping with Health/Physical Changes
- Difficulty Concentrating
- Feelings of Hopelessness or Helplessness
- Isolation or Loneliness
- Low Self-Esteem
- Personality Changes
- Sleep or Appetite Changes
- Unresolved Grief
Whether it’s the decline of physical ability, the loss of a loved one, or any other issues, the EASE Program will assist you.
Enrolling in the program
- Anyone can make referrals to the program.
- Patients are accepted from any living arrangement.
- We offer a free no-obligation assessment in the home or at the program site.
- We encourage appropriate family/caregiver participation.
- Our Medical Director is on the unit weekly.
- A psychiatric evaluation determines the need for admission and program involvement.
- Assessed needs are addressed on individual treatment plans.
- Attending physician and treatment team will compete reviews throughout treatment.
- We provide discharge planning and one year of aftercare planning for all patients completing the program.
FAQ
Does traditional Medicare cover this program?
Yes, the EASE Program is covered by traditional Medicare. Deductibles, coinsurance, and copays still apply.
How many days a week does a patient come to the EASE program?
Patients typically start the program by coming 3 – 4 days per week at the beginning of treatment and then titrate to 1 – 2 days once they get closer to graduation.
How long is a patient typically at the EASE Program during the day?
The EASE Program runs from around 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
Does participation require a formal physician referral?
No, the EASE Program does not need a formal physician referral to be admitted. Anyone, including themselves, can refer anyone appropriate for the program.
How often will the patient see the provider?
The provider will see the patient at a minimum of every 30 days.
Who is on the treatment team?
The treatment team includes the provider, therapist, nurse, and unit clerk.
