Pediatric Trauma Injury Prevention Programs
Safe and Sound Program
A part of Pediatric Trauma Services, our Safe and Sound Injury Prevention Program continues the vital mission on which Children's Hospital was founded in 1929 -- to improve the lives of children in our region. Utilizing local and regional injury observation and data analysis, Safe and Sound provides community outreach and education to promote safety and reduce unintentional injuries in children.
Safe Kids Southeast Tennessee
Children’s Hospital at Erlanger is also the lead organization for Safe Kids Southeast Tennessee. Preventable injuries are the leading cause of death and disability for children in the U.S. The Safe Kids Southeast TN coalition brings together health and safety experts, local organizations, government agencies, and volunteers to educate parents and children in Southeast Tennessee. Safe Kids Southeast TN meetings are held on the last Tuesday of every month. If interested in joining Safe Kids Southeast TN, please call 423-778-6691 to learn more.
